Molasses is a thick, dark syrup that is a byproduct of the sugar refining process from sugarcane or sugar beets. It is a viscous liquid with a sweet, butterscotch-like flavor and a molasses aroma. Molasses contains about 50–60% sucrose, along with other sugars and minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus.
Uses:
