This highly compact diode laser features the combination of two wavelengths, 980 nm and 1470 nm offering a variety of tissue interactions. Each wavelength can be individually selected or blended together to offer the perfect desired tissue effects such as incision, excision, vaporization, hemostasis and coagulation of soft tissue with contact or non-contact delivery options for open and endoscopic procedures.
All methods used for hemorrhoid treatment has advantages, disadvantages, and limitations. But treatment of hemorrhoid by Dual Diode laser, which is done by skilled surgeon has several advantages over other treatments. This advantages include, less operation time, less pain and bleeding, allow quick healing of piles, no stricture, and minimal recurrence after operation.
Dual Laser wavelength
The most important feature of this laser diode is its dual wavelength which allows it to be used for a variety of tissue interactions. While the 980 nm wavelength has a great affinity for pigments like haemoglobin, the 1470 nm has great affinity for water.
MINIMAL INVASIVE LASER TREATMENT ON PROCTOLOGY
HEMORRHOIDS/ Piles Intrahemorrhoidal Therapy
Under LA/GA, laser energy is delivered by conical fiber directly to hemorrhoidal nodes and they will obliterate from inside and this will help to preserve mucosa and sphincter structure to an extremely high precision. Laser energy is used to close off the blood supply nourishing the abnormal growth. The laser energy induces destruction of the venous epithelium and simultaneous obliteration of the hemorrhoidal pile by a shrinkage effect.
Advantage of using laser compare to conventional surgery, fibrotic reconstruction generates new connective tissue, which ensures that the mucosa adheres to the underlying tissue. This also prevents the occurrence or recurrence of prolapsed hemorrhoids. The laser procedure can be executed in only a few minutes.
Fistula Laser Ablation
Fistula-tract Laser Closure/ anal fistulas: Under LA/GA, laser energy is delivered, via radial fiber, into the anal fistula tract and is used to ablate thermally and close off the abnormal pathway. The laser energy induces destruction of the fistula epithelium and simultaneous obliteration of the remaining fistula tract by a shrinkage effect. The epithelialized tissue is being destroyed in a controlled way and the fistula tract collapses to a very high degree. This also supports and accelerates the healing process.
Advantage of using diode laser using radial fibre compare to conventional surgery is, it gives a good control to operator, also allows to use in convoluted tract, no excision or splitting independent on the length of the tract. This laser procedure can be executed in only a few minutes.
SiLaC (Sinus Pilonidalis treatment) – for sinus pilonidalis
The newest field of application for FiLaC® is the treatment of sinus pilonidalis, or pilonidal cysts during the so called SiLaC® treatment. Here, the laser therapie achieves excellent healing results, minimal wound surfaces, and convincing cosmetic results. The usage of the laser machine for removal of pilonidal sinuses ensures minimal collateral damage with painless and quick healing.This treatment also eliminates any risks of recurrences.
