The Azienda Agricola I Roccoli was founded in 2014 from an idea of Annamaria. Her desire to live in close contact with nature and animals, fully respecting them, led her to restore an old olive grove containing around 530 plants.

Over the years, the quality of the production has consistently improved thanks in no small part to collaborations with experts. Currently, the use of machinery during processing has been reduced to a minimum. Indeed, fertilising and pruning are done by horses, some of which have been saved from terrible situations, which live freely amidst the olive trees. Harvesting is done as quickly as possible, in around a week, using methods that do not damage the olives, which are taken to the olive mill every day and pressed in just a few hours. What’s more, an integrated pest management programme has been launched recently that uses natural traps and involves the planting of numerous Inula Viscosa plants, which attract many insects that are harmful for the olive fly.

The olive oil we make is premium quality and carries the D.O.P. certification, attesting to its Protected Designation of Origin.
