       Atrazine is an systemic selective pre-emergence and post-emergence blocking herbicide. Root absorption is dominant, while stem and leaf absorption is very small. Herbicidal effect and selectivity are the same as simazine. It is easy to be leached to deeper soil layer by rainwater and is also effective for some deep-rooted grasses, but it is easy to cause phytotoxicity. The effective period is also longer.
