High purity small diameter low oh quartz capillary tube
The low-OH UV quartz silica glass tube is used for UV Germicidal field.
After ordinary quartz tube undergoes dehydroxylation treatment, its hydroxyl content will be greatly reduced. The reason for dehydroxylation is that the high temperature of the UV lamp will penetrate the -OH in the quartz glass into the lamp tube when it is working, and it will decompose under the action of the arc, thereby oxidizing and contaminating the electrode and mercury in the lamp tube, reducing the lamp tube Service life. So low hydroxyl content in quartz tube is very important in UV Germicidal application. After the quartz tube undergoes dehydroxylation treatment, the hydroxyl content is below 10 ppm, and can even reach 5 ppm or 2 ppm.
