Method of application
The copper chloride solution is injected into the U-shaped branch pipe, and two graphite carbon rods were inserted as electrodes. The wet potato iodide starch test paper is placed near the anode carbon rod to test the released gas. Shortly after turning on the power supply, there was a layer of copper on the carbon rod as the cathode, which indicated that there was copper precipitation. Bubbles are released from the anode carbon rod. From its smell and its characteristic of turning wet potato iodide starch paper into blue, it can be inferred that the released gas is chlorine. It can be seen that the copper chloride solution will undergo chemical changes while conducting electricity, resulting in copper and chlorine.

1. The power supply voltage shall not exceed 24 volts DC power supply.
2. Pay attention to putting the solution into the tube before using this instrument, and finally turn on the power supply.
3. After the experiment, pour out the solution and clean it.
