Conductors:

The cable comes with stranded tinned copper conductors per B-33 and B-172. The conductors are Class I bunched in sizes 8 and 6 AWG, and rope-bunched in sizes 4 AWG and larger. For easier stripping, the conductors are covered with opaque mylar tape that acts as a separator.

Insulation:

The cable is known for its environmentally friendly, low-smoke, lead-free, silicone-free, and halogen-free insulation named TelcoHyde 522. It reduces the emission of toxins and harmful gases. The insulation has a limited oxygen index of 35 percent. TelcoHyde 5221 is resistant to smoke, flames, impact, abrasion, chemicals, acids, and halogen. The insulation is covered with a cotton braid with a saturant that makes it resistant to moisture and flames.
