Instructions for choose milling cutter
Bottom milling: according to the required size accuracy of carved patterns or fonts, choose flat-bottomed straight knives with corresponding diameters. The principle of tool diameter selection is to choose a larger diameter as far as possible on the premise that the diameter can enter every pattern detail position and the engraving effect is within the acceptable range (the smaller the diameter, the better the details, but the time and engraving cost will increase).
When cutting, it is necessary to select the appropriate handle diameter in combination with the handle load and engraving
resistance (different customers have different preferences, so we recommend flat-bottom straight knife for cutting, and consider using ball-end straight knife when the bottom effect is high).
The following are our experience recommendations:
Choose 6mm shank diameter for within 2 cm in depth; choose 8mm shank diameter for Depth 2-3 cm,;
Choose 10mm shank diameter for 3-5cm depth and 12mm shank diameter for 5-8cm depth.
