McAFee antivirus plus
McAfee Anti-Virus provides a series of methods to scan for threats. After real-time scanning is turned on, it will scan files
every time you access them, which helps protect your computer while you use it while keeping resource consumption to a minimum.
On-demand scanning provides you with flexible options, either full scanning or selective scanning. You can access the above scans
inside the product (via quick scan or full scan), or scan specific items by right-clicking on files and folders.
Steps to take to get started
Real-time (on-access) scanning -scan files every time they are accessed
1. Double-click to open the McAfee antivirus software
2. Click on the "PC Security" tab
3. Click "Real-time Scan" (it should be enabled by default)
4. Click "on" or "off" to change settings
On-demand scan -start scanning hard drives and folders immediately
1. Double-click to open the McAfee antivirus software
2. Click the "Scan for Viruses" button
3. Click "Run a quick scan" or "Run a full scan", depending on your preference
Scheduled scans -configure on-demand scans to run at specific times or periodically
1. Double-click to open the McAfee antivirus software
