CARB toroidal roller bearings combine the self-aligning ability of spherical roller bearings with the axial displacement ability of cylindrical roller bearings. CARB bearings also have the compact section and high load carrying capacity of needle roller bearings. The rollers of CARB bearings can be automatically guided. Regardless of whether the bearing ring is misaligned or has axial displacement, it can be in a position where the load is evenly applied to the entire roller. The ability to distribute load favorably keeps friction and heat generated by friction at a low level. Lower operating temperatures extend the life of lubricants and bearings.

Product Feature
CARB bearings are exclusively used as floating end bearings. It can simplify the configuration of shaft bearings that are susceptible to thermal expansion/contraction, because axial displacement is allowed in the bearing and there is almost no friction. The bearing system includes spherical roller bearings at the locating end and CARB bearings at the floating end, which can save space and weight, and reduce the cost of ownership. CARB bearings can reduce the noise and vibration levels of equipment such as paper machines and fans.
