Product Description
H-beam, also known as steel beam, is a long strip of steel with an I-shaped section. H-beam is divided into ordinary H-steel and light H-steel. No matter the H-beam is ordinary or light, because the section size is relatively high and narrow, the moment of inertia of the two main axes of the section is quite different, so it can only be used directly for the members bending in the plane of its web or to form lattice members. It is not suitable for axial compression members or members that are perpendicular to the plane of the web and bent, which makes it very limited in the scope of application.
