(commonly known as tinplate) refers to a steel plate with a thin layer of metallic tin plated on the surface.
Tinplate is a low carbon steel rolled into a steel plate with a thickness of about 2mm, after pickling, cold rolling, electrolytic cleaning and annealing, leveling, trimming, and then cleaning, electroplating, reflow, passivation, and oiling. Cut into finished products of tin-plated sheet, and the tin used for tin-plated sheet is high-purity tin (Sn>99.8%).
The tin layer can also be coated by hot dip plating. The tin layer of the tin plate obtained by this method is thicker, and the amount of tin used is large, and no purification treatment is required after tin plating.

Product Details
Tinplate is composed of five parts, from inside to outside is the steel substrate, tin iron alloy layer, tin layer, oxide film and oil film.
The production process of tin plate mainly includes tin plating, softening, cathode passivation and oiling. In electroplating process, a layer of metal tin is deposited on the cold rolled plate, and a thin layer of tin iron alloy is formed between the cold rolled plate and the pure tin layer by soft melting process. Passivation film and oil film are formed by cathodic passivation and oil coating process respectively.
Tin plate is a cold rolled thin steel plate coated with a layer of extremely thin metal tin on both sides.
It combines the hardness and strength of steel with the solderability, corrosion resistance and bright appearance of tin. Tinplate has the advantages of tasteless and non-toxic, light weight and easy processing.
Printing different patterns can beautify products, so it is widely used in food canning industry, electronic devices, chemical paint and other industries.
