Product Description
Brief Introduction：
Ferrosilicon is an alloy of iron and silicon. Ferrosilicon is made of iron silicon alloy made of coke, steel chips, quartz (or silica) as raw material and smelted by electric furnace. Because silicon and oxygen are easy to combine into silicon dioxide, so ferrosilicon is often used in steelmaking as a deoxidizer. At the same time, due to the release of a lot of heat when SiO2 is generated, it is also beneficial to increase the temperature of molten steel.
Application：
1.Iron silicon containing about 50% silicon, mainly used for cupola iron melting silicon; Ferrosilicon containing about 75% silicon is commonly used as inoculant and inking agent for cast iron, deoxidizer for steelmaking and silicon additive material for. The chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen is very large, and it is easy to combine into silicon dioxide, so iron silicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking (precipitation and diffusion deoxidization).
