It is definitely cost-effective since you can rechange it several times. Once the exchange capacity had been exhausted, it has to be regenerated with a sodium chloride solution(ion exchange principle).

Regeneration | Put a salt solution consisting of 100g iodine-free salt and 1L water in a plastic container. Put the nitrate remover in the solution for one to two days, moving it backwards and for- wards frequently. Rinse the bag thoroughly in fresh water. Do not use hot water to regenerate or rinse! Use cold tapwater only .Keep the product well protected from very low temperatures. |
