2.What's screen printing?
Screen printing is a printing method that uses a partially masked screen to transfer ink to the object to be printed selectively. Here is how it usually works:
A partially masked screen is created, where the unmasked area reveals the mesh holes through which the pigment or ink can pass.
The object to be printed is placed under the screen and the ink is applied to it.
By scraping the ink evenly across the screen with a squeegee, it passes through the mesh and adheres to the object to be printed.

3.What does a scoop coater do?
Most scoop coaters have two edges. One is more rounded, and can be used to create a slightly thicker layer of emulsion for more ink deposit onto your garment when printing. Thicker emulsion layers are useful when printing on sweatshirts and for other high-density applications.

4.What size scoop coater do I need?
It's recommend to always going with a scoop coater that's 4" less than the outside dims. So for the 20x24 screen frames, 16" would be the recommended length for a completely covered coating.
