Pocket ECG monitor
Pocket ECG monitor is a portable electrocardiogram (ECG) (a small, wearable device). It is used to detect or determine the risk of irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias). It records the electrical activity of the heart continuously for 24 hours or more when you are not in the doctor's office. A standard or 'resting' ECG is one of the simplest and fastest tests used to assess the heart. Electrode pieces (small plastic patches stuck to the skin) are placed in certain locations on the chest and abdomen. The electrodes are connected to the ECG machine via wires. The electrical activity of the heart can then be measured, recorded and printed. No electricity is sent into the body.
