When welding, the oxide film will certainly prevent the solder to the base material wetting, welding can not be carried out properly, therefore, must be coated with flux on the surface of the base material, so that the oxide on the surface of the base material to restore, so as to achieve the purpose of eliminating the oxide film. On the other hand, the high temperature of welding tends to oxidize the surface of the solder material. Flux paste helps to stop the oxidation process.
2,Reduce the surface tension of the material The surface tension of the material will affect the quality of the solder, another role of the flux paste to reduce the tension of the material. The surface tension of the molten solder will prevent it from diffusing to the surface of the base material, affecting the normal conduct of wetting. When the flux covers the surface of the molten solder, it can reduce the surface tension of the liquid solder, so that the wetting performance is significantly improved.
3,The brazing process removes the oxides on the surface of the base material and the liquid brazing material to create conditions for the spreading of the liquid brazing material.
