As long as it is essential oil, it can work. And the material is anti-corrosion material. No need to worry about essential oils corroding plastic.

It can work all the time before the waterless. It is powered by electric type C cable. No battery in it. There is 5h timer setting on the product and 4 6 8 hour time setting on the remote. You can control its working time.
