Product Description
The thermal condition of the engine changes as a result of changes in environmental conditions and operating conditions while the vehicle is in motion. Therefore, the cooling intensity of the engine must be adjusted at all times. For example, in the hot summer, the engine works at low speed, under a large load, when the temperature of the coolant is very high, the fan should rotate at high speed to increase the cooling air volume and enhance the heat dissipation capacity of the radiator; and in the cold winter, when the coolant temperature is low, or when there is a strong headwind blowing across the radiator at high speed, it becomes meaningless for the fan to continue working. Not only does it consume engine power for nothing, but it also produces a lot of noise. Tests have shown that water-cooled systems only require the fan to work 25% of the time, and in winter the fan is needed even less. It is therefore important that the cooling intensity of the engine is always adjusted according to its thermal condition. The installation of a silicone fan clutch between the fan pulley and the cooling fan is one way of achieving this regulation.
