Alloy manufacturing principle
1) All the elements without exception reduce the conductivity and thermal conductivity of the copper bar, where the elements are solidly dissolved in the copper bar, resulting in lattice distortion of the copper bar, so that the free electron directional flow of wave scattering, so that the resistivity increases, on the contrary, there is no solid solubility in the copper bar or few solid solution of the elements, the conductive and thermal conductivity of the copper bar is little influence. In particular, it should be noted that the solid solubility of some elements in Copper bar decreases sharply with the decrease of temperature, and the precipitation of elemental and metallic compounds can not only strengthen the solid solution and dispersion of Copper bar alloy, but also reduce the electrical conductivity. This is an important alloying principle for the study of high strength and high conductivity alloy. It should be noted that the alloy composed of iron, silicon, zirconium (not wrong), chromium and Copper bar is an extremely important alloy with high strength and high conductivity; Because the influence of alloying elements on the properties of copper bars is superimposed, CoCr-Zr alloy is a famous alloy with high strength and high conductivity.
(2) The microstructure of copper base corrosion resistant alloy should be single-phase, so as to avoid electrochemical corrosion caused by the second phase in the alloy. (3) Both soft and hard phases exist in the microstructure of copper-base wear-resistant alloy. (4) The copper bar alloys with polycrystalline transition in solid state have damping properties, such as Cu-Mn alloys, and the alloys with thermoelastic martensitic transition in solid state have memory properties, such as Cu-Zn-Al alloys and Cu-Al-Mn alloys.
(5) The color of Copper bar can be changed by adding alloying elements, such as zinc, aluminum, tin, nickel and other elements. With the change of content, the color also changes from red to green to yellow to white. Reasonable control of content will obtain imitation gold material and imitation silver alloy.
