Product Description
Advantages of quartz glass
1. High Temperature Resistance
The softening point temperature of quartz glass is about 1725︒C. It can be used for a long time at 1100︒C, and the resistant temperature for a short time is 1450 1450︒C.
2. Corrosion Resistant
Apart from hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass has almost no chemical reaction with other acids. Its acid resistantce is 30 times than ceramics and 150 times than stainless steel. Especially its chemical stability at high temperature is unmatched by any other engineering materials.
3. Good Thermal Stability
The coefficient of thermal expansion of the glass is so small that it can withstand drastic temperature changes. Heating quartz glass to about 1100︒C will not crack when it is put into normal temperature water.
4.Good Light Transmission
The quartz glass has good transmission from ultraviolet ray to infrared ray. and the transmission of visible light is over 93%. Especially in the ultraviolet spectrum, the maximum transmittance is over 80.quartz glass
