Yttrium fluoride Introduction:
Yttrium fluoride is a chemical with the formula YF3 that is a grayish white powder or crystal at room temperature.
White powder, density 4.01, melting point 1152 ℃. The boiling point of 2230 ℃. Insoluble in water, insoluble in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid, but soluble in perchloric acid. Hygroscopic in air, more stable.
Yttrium fluoride Usage:
Optical coating, optical fiber doping, laser crystal, single crystal raw materials, laser amplifier, catalytic auxiliaries, etc.
Used for the preparation of rare earth crystal laser materials, upconversion luminescent materials, fluoride glass optical fiber and fluoride optical rotation glass. It is used to manufacture arc lamp carbon electrode in lighting source. It is the raw material for electrolysis of yttrium metal.
