Product Description
Qualified limestone is stored in the silo, lifted by the elevator and transported into the top silo of the preheater. In the top silo of the preheater, the feeding amount is controlled by two upper and lower material level meters, and then the limestone is evenly distributed into each chamber of the preheater through the discharge pipe. The limestone is heated to about 900°C by the 1150°C kiln flue gas in the preheater. About 30% of the limestone is decomposed. It is pushed into the rotary kiln through the hydraulic push rod. The limestone is sintered and decomposed into CaO and CO2 in the rotary kiln.
Quick Lime Production Plant Process:
The limestone generated after decomposition enters the cooler, where it is cooled by the cold air blown into the cooler to below 100°C and discharged. The heat-exchanged 600°C hot air enters the kiln and is mixed with gas for combustion. The exhaust gas is mixed with cold air and enters the bag dust collector through the induced draft fan, and then enters the chimney through the exhaust fan. The lime coming out of the cooler is sent to the finished lime product warehouse via a vibrating feeder, chain bucket conveyor, bucket elevator, and belt conveyor. Main Equipment

Vertical Preheater is one of the hosts of the quick lime production plant. The main function of the vertical preheater is to send the limestone materials to the preheater, and at the same time, it uses the high-temperature exhaust gas (1150 degrees celsius) emitted after calcining in the kiln.
The material is evenly preheated to about 900 degrees celsius in the preheater. During the preheating process, 30% CaCO3 is decomposed in the preheater, and then pushed into the lime rotary kiln by the hydraulic push rod for calcination. This calcination process makes the limestone calcination time in the kiln is greatly shortened, and lime with higher activity is obtained.
Active Lime Rotary Kiln has an advanced kiln structure and uses reliable combined scale seals at both ends of the lime rotary kiln to make the air leakage coefficient less than 10%. The kiln is lined with composite refractory materials to reduce radiant heat loss; waste heat can be fully utilized to the kiln secondary air is preheated to above 700°C to save energy consumption.
Working Flow
Step 1: Raw Material Preparation
1. Limestone: The particle size of limestone should be between 20～40mm. The proportion of limestone size above 40mm or below 20mm should not be more than 5%. The maximum size should be less than 40mm.
2. Fuel: Furnace gas, gas, coalbed methane, pulverized coal could be used as fuel.
Step 2: Raw Material Feeding
Limestone in the plant yard will be carried by tractor shovel and fed to hopper, it will be discharged from hopper to vibrating feeder and sent to vibrating screen for screening through belt conveyor. The size ≥20mm will be sent to pre-heater by conveyor. And size less < 20mm will be carried away.
Limestone in the pre-heater will be preheated by the hot air, then it will be discharged to rotary kiln through chute that connecting pre-heater and kiln, it will stay in the kiln for 1.5-2 hours for calcination, during the process, it will be calcinated with temperature around 1300 ℃, after which comes limestone decomposition and release of co2,then the for mation of quick lime qill be completed.
Step 4: Finished Products Conveying
Lime will be discharged to a chain conveyor by vibrating feeders in the bottom of vertical cooler, it will be lifted to lime in the storage hopper can be used for dispatch or transported to the hydration workshop.
Step 5: Dust Filtering System
There are two dust filtering systems, one is in the kiln inlet, dust will be filtered by bag filter then the clean gas will be released to air. The other is dust from lime storage hopper and the feeding part of bucket elevator, dust will be filtered by bags and then released to air.
