A vacuum filter forms negative pressure at the outlet of the filtrate as the driving force for filtration. This type of filter is further divided into two types: intermittent operation and continuous operation. Intermittent vacuum filters can filter suspensions of various concentrations, while continuous vacuum filters are suitable for filtering thick suspensions containing a large amount of solid particles.
Mainly suitable for vacuum filtration in production processes in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, and petroleum, it has the advantages of light weight, easy installation and maintenance, and simple operation. Vacuum filters include vacuum negative pressure filters. There are two types of vacuum negative pressure filters. One type uses porous glass as the filter membrane support pad, which can ensure that the intercepted particles are evenly distributed on the surface of the filter membrane, making it particularly suitable for particle collection and counting. Another type uses stainless steel mesh with PTFE coating as a filter membrane support pad, suitable for collecting filtrate, such as sample particle removal applications. When filtering viscous liquids (such as collecting particles from oil samples), it is also recommended to use this type of filter for easier cleaning
