Introduction: 
HS series horizontal slurry pump is designed for the continuous pumping of high abrasive, high density slurries with minimal maintenance requirements. The wear parts are made of superior anti-wear high chrome alloy or abrasion/corrosion resistant rubber. It will maintain high efficiency over the wear life of its components. 


The metal wet parts and rubber ones can be interchangeable for handling different liquids or slurries.

Metal Chromium Alloy parts:


High chrome alloy mainly include A05, A07, A49, A33, A51, A61....etc.
High-chromium wear-resistant cast iron A05 (KmTBCr27, High Chrome 27% ) has high hardness and heat treatment hardness of HRC58~62. It has good abrasion resistance. As for alkaline mixed liquid, it has good corrosion resistance and can be used in strong abrasion conditions. The casting process of high chromium cast iron is difficult and difficult to process. However, it has a long service life and moderate price, and is the most common material used for slurry pump.
This alloy provides a great balance of hardness and toughness, making it effective to pump high abrasion and corrosive liquid. 
It provides modest corrosion resistance pump components such as the impellers, casings, volute liners and throatbushes

Rubber Wearing Parts :


1. Rubber impeller
The impeller is one of the flow parts of the slurry pump and It is the core part of the slurry pump accessories. The impeller is installed at one end of the pump shaft and directly connected to the pump shaft. It is the main work part when the pump is running.
Slurry pump impeller can play an exDRemely important role in the operation of slurry pump. By rotating, it can help slurry pump meet the needs of the equipment. The slurry pump impeller is easy to be worn out, so we search for the special materials to prolong the lifespan of impeller.
Rubber slurry pump impellers are used to deal with the corrosive slurry with blunt particles. They are made of natural rubber, synthetic rubber, EPDM Rubber, NiDRile Rubber, or any other as you required.

2. Frame plate liner and Cover plate liner
The rubber wet parts are great wear resistance and corrosion resistance, usually used for acid working conditions. Such as tailing in mining industry, slurry with small particles and no rough edges. The whole displacement part includes Cover Plate Liner, Throat bush, Frame Plate Liner, Frame Plate Liner Insert.  
The rubber material we used has superior resistance to all other materials in fine particle slurry applications. The antioxidants and anti degradents used in our material have been optimized to improve storage life and reduce degradation during use. The high erosion resistance is provided by the combination of its high resilience, high tensile strength and low shore hardness.
Rubber Pump Liners – Easily replaceable liners are bolted, not glued, to the casing for positive attachment and ease of maintenance. Hard metal liners are completely interchangeable with pressure molded elastomers. Elastomer seal rings back all liner joints.

3. Throatbush
Throatbush is one of wet parts in horizontal slurry pump which directs slurries to impeller, it is suction side liner which is connected with cover plate.Throat bush is common in bigger pumps, because throat bush and volute liner are normally in one solid piece in small pumps. The design of slurry pump throat bush is based on cost effective in manufacturing and operation.
Many users and sellers use the term ‘throatbush’ interchangeably with ‘throat bush’, it is a common and generally accepted alternate spelling.
Slurry pump throat bushes are normally made in high chrome alloy or natural rubber, special materials are also available.

4. Expeller Ring
Expeller ring is used for AH/HH/L/M slurry pumps, The expeller ring is together work with expeller for the slurry pumps. They can not only help seal the pump, but also reduce the centrifugal force. The design and material of expeller is significant to its service life. This seal is suitable for most slurry pumping applications. It provides the major advantage that no gland water is required. An expeller running in a ring of the same material and working with the vanes on the back face of the blade ensures a leak proof seal. A grease lubricated packed gland with neck and lantern rings leakage leakage when the pump is stationary. The inlet head influences the effectiveness of the expeller seal and under normal operating conditions this type of seal is completely leak proof.

Polyurethane Wear Parts:


Polyurethane(U38) is an erosion-resistant composed material, which performs very well in tailings, flotation and leach duties, and is frequently used for pump impellers, expellers and liners, including throatbushes and frame plate liner inserts.


Polyurethane elastomer is a new polymer synthetic material between rubber and plastic. It has both the high strength of plastic and the high elasticity of rubber. It has the properties of wear resistance, oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, aging resistance, ozone resistance, low temperature resistance, tear resistance, resistance to shock, high elasticity, strong vibration absorption, and large load support capacity.


In order to meet the use requirements of different working conditions, and in view of the advantages of polyurethane compared with rubber, such as high wear resistance, tear resistance, shear resistance, oil resistance and high bearing capacity, a variety of polyurethane slurry pump overflow parts have been developed on the basis of rubber overflow parts.

The main characteristics of polyurethane on slurry pump application:
1. Wide range of hardness:still can keep good rubber elasticity and elongation under high hardness.
2. High strength, with higher tearing strength and load-bearing capacity than the general rubber under the range of the rubber hardness; and with much more impact strength and bending strength than plastic under high hardness.
3. High abrasion resistance, with range between 0.03-0.20 (mm3) Zm, 3-5 times than the natural rubber.
4. Good oil resistance, it is hardly corroded in fuel oil and machine oiL because the polyurethane elastomer is a kind strongly polar polymer compound and has low affinity with the non-polar mineral oil.
5. High fatigue strength, the polyurethane material is recognized widely as an elastomer material with higher fatigue strength and the fatigue strength is an index to measure the repeated deformation of the material.

Composite material of silicon carbide and metal, abrasion resistant and anti-corrosive, ceramic wear parts are designed for limestone/gypsum desulfurization, ammonia desulfurization, coal-burning power plants, sintering machine in steel mill, etc. Suitable to convey suspended particle medium, corrosive, abrasive medium, scaling, and gas-containing liquid. It is widely used in desulfurization, hydrometallurgy, phosphorus chemical, aluminium oxide.
