The Harm of Bee Mites
Bee mites are the most important parasites of bees, especially the apis mellifera. Once the bee colony is harmed by bee mites, the output of bee products will be affected, and in serious cases, the swarm strength of the bee colony will be rapidly weakened or even be destroyed. Therefore, that preventing and controlling bee mites is the basic premise of obtaining high yield in beekeeping.

Bee mites can significantly shorten the life span of bees.

Principle of Oxalic Acid Vaporizer
Principle of Oxalic Acid Vaporizer
Based on the characteristics of oxalic acid sublimation at 150~160 °C, the oxalic acid vaporizer is invented to heat oxalic acid to this temperature. The oxalic acid can completely vaporized to smoke and spray into the honeycomb from the nest door, which can achieve the effect of killing bee mites. The spray efficiency is high, the smoke coverage is uniform, and the mite treatment is fast, efficient and no dead band.

1. Open the lid, filling an appropriate amount of oxalic acid (refer to the dosage instructions) into the evaporator pot.
2. Insert the smoke outlet pipe into the hive through the hive entrance, then seal the hive entrance, close the bottom window and other openings of the hive.
3. Then connect the device to the power supply (connect the red battery clip to “+” pole, otherwise the indicator light will not come on), turn on the switch, the indicator light comes on, the medication starts to atomize and evaporate once being heated, the smoke will fill the whole beehive. Generally, 2-3 grams of oxalic acid evaporates out in 2 minutes, while 4-5 grams in 3 minutes.
4. When the evaporation ends, indicator light will go off automatically. Turn off the switch and take out the device, then cover the hive entrance with compresses for 10-15 minutes.
Notice: Dosage 4-5 grams for two-layer hive, and 2-3 gram for single layer hive. Dose increase does no more harm to bees. The varroa mites mortality rate of single layer hive is over 97%.

Oxalic acid, one of the natural components, belongs to weak organic acid, widely found in plants and animals, so the volatile oxalic acid has a touch killing effect on mites. It is safe for bees after usage of mite treatment, without side effects, and harmless to bee products.
