Main Parts of Sanitary Check Valve
Sanitary check valve consists of several parts including the valve body, valve cap, valve core, gasket, spring and so on.
The valve body and valve cap are typically made from sanitary grade 316L or 304 stainless steel , designed with a rational structure,high surface finish, no dead corners, and easy of cleaning and maintenance.
The gasket is made from silicone or EPDM rubber,offering good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
The spring is responsible for promptly closing the valve,ensuring quick response times.
Working Principle
Working Principle of Sanitary Check Valve
The working principle of sanitary check valve utilizes the pressure of the medium to operate.
It opens when the medium flows normally through the valve and closes when there is reverse flow. When the medium enters the pipeline system through the valve,the valve body of sanitary check valve is in an open state. At this time, the pressure of the medium acts on the valve core, and the valve core is compressed so that the valve is open.
In case of reverse flow, the valve core is pushed towards the bottom of the valve body due to the reverse pressure of the medium,thereby closing the valve to prevent backflow. Additionally, sanitary check valves also help reduce water hammer pressure in the pipeline system.
