Product Description

Description Of Pneumatic seal

Pneumatic seal is a sealing device that uses compressed air to seal the gap of rotating shaft without leakage of working medium. The annular groove is processed on the housing, and the clearance of the rotating shaft is blocked after the compressed air enters, so as to prevent the leakage of lubricating oil.

The pneumatic seal has the characteristics of simple structure, but it requires air supply with a certain pressure, so the consumption of compressed air is large, and the pressure of the air source is 0.03~0.05Mpa higher than the pressure of the sealing medium. Pneumatic seals are not limited by speed and temperature. They are usually used for seals of rotating machinery equipment with small differential pressure, liquid media and gas media, such as to prevent the leakage of lubricating oil in bearing chambers. Sometimes it can be used in combination with labyrinth seal or spiral seal.
