Product Overview




Propellent wide gap free flow type plate heat exchanger is designed to treat the applications of high viscosity, fiber and
particle contents, or considerable risk of fouling. The spacious pattern with wide flow channels from 5.0mm to 12.0mm, which provide roomy space for difficult media to flow effortlessly, ensuring gentle treatment of the output product. The plate channels allow for an efficient flow and heat transfer, the heat area of our free flow type is cost-effective.
It applies to high viscosity and fibrous medium, such as fruit juice, high concentration of sugar solution, honey starch syrup, fruit grain of yoghurt, slurry material, solid particles and crystal. Gasketed plate and frame structure, based on the optimized design to achieve the target of saving investment costs.






Products Description






Propellent WideGap plate heat exchangers are suitable for fibrous fluids and for fluids containing coarse
particles. Typical applications for WideGap heat exchangers are sugar, bioethanol and pulp and paper processes.
Depending on the duty, WideGap heat exchangers can be configured either with wide-wide or wide-narrow channels. This makes the units suitable for heating, cooling and interchanging duties.

Plate Pattern

The media flow through the channels of the pattern that is pressed into the heat transmission area of each plate. As such, the patterns have great impact on the heat transfer efficiency of the heat exchanger and must be carefully chosen to accommodate the specific requirements of each thermal duty.

The sized of the needed heat transmission area can be reduced if a higher amount of the pressure drop is used. This makes it important to use the allowed pressure drop to the fullest. Some patterns only use a low pressure drop, but offer a lower level of turbulence, while others offer high turbulence in exchange for a high pressure drop. Other patterns have very deep channels, making them suitable for high-viscosity media and media that cause fouling.

Propellent Plate heat exchanger consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates, gaskets and a fix frame.
The plate pack is assembled and fixed on the frame by tightening bolts. The heat is transferred through the plate between the channels which are sealed by gaskets.
