Polyacrylamide is a kind of water-soluble polyelectrolyte, which is nontoxic, tasteless, soluble in water easily and insoluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol and acetone. The molecular chain is flexible, relative molecular wight is steady, ionic

Polyacrylamide must be prepared as a 0.1% to 0.5% solid solution before use. When it is dosed, it can be diluted or delivered hydraulically. The storage period of 5% of the stock solution is 7 days, 0.05% of the dosing solution is stored. It's 3 days. When preparing the solution, note the following:
(1) Dissolution temperature: The dissolution of polyacrylamide requires a certain temperature in order to accelerate the
dissolution rate. A suitable dissolution temperature is 50~60°C.
(2) Stirring conditions: low-speed paddles, such as anchor-type, frame-type, and multi-layer paddles, should be used. The stirring speed should be about 60 revolutions per minute. A piston pump or a diaphragm pump should be used for conveying.
(3) Uniform dispersion of feed: The key step in the dissolution of polyacrylamide is the uniform dispersion of feed. Generally, the aqueous solution is heated to 50~60°C, the mixer is started, and the machine is shaken with a mechanical screen (mesh number is 10 mesh) to avoid "large mass" and "fish". Eye-like" insoluble particles.
