Compared with other engineering plastics, MXD6 resin has higher mechanical strength and modulus, and is also a high barrier nylon material.The glass fiber reinforced MXD6 remains high strength at high temperatures, which could be used in cylinder blocks, cylinder coverspistons, synchronous gears of automotive engines. MXD6/PPO alloy exhibits high temperature resistance, high strength, and wear resistance, which could be used in vertical outer panels of automotive bodies, front and rear fenders, wheelhouses, and automotivechassis. MXD6 shows great potential in the field of high barrier packaging materials, mainly in the form of PET/MXD6 blends for thepackaging of alcohol,beverages, pharmaceuticals, and food.
