Product Description

Hydraulic cylinder PTFE piston seal ring design

Double-acting cylinders are widely used and they operate under pressure on both sides which requires for a double-acting seal.

The double acting piston seal has a cross section and same sealing function in both directions. Generally, the double acting piston seal consists of a slip ring and an elastomer ring. During installation, make the slip ring close to the cylinder surface to provide dynamic sealing capacity while maintaining the static sealing performance at the sealing groove.

A typical double acting hydraulic cylinder has the same medium on both sides of the piston. Therefore, it is allowed to form a relatively thick lubricating film between the piston seal and the cylinder bore to minimize friction and wear.

XTP is Double acting piston seals, composed of PTFE piston sealing ring, O-ring and X ring, and is used for the piston

bidirectional seal of hydraulic cylinder. Especially suitable for separating two different mediums.
