Zinc sulphide, white or yellowish powder that is changed into zinc sulphate after long exposure to humid air. It is usually
produced by the action of hydrogen sulfide with a zinc salt solution. If Cu, Mn and Ag are added into ZnS crystal as
activators,different colors of fluorescence can be emitted after illumination. Used for analytical reagents, coatings, paints,
white and opaque glass, rubber, plastic filling, and for the preparation of phosphors.
