Product Introduction
Hose bands usually consist of a steel band (usually made of stainless steel or carbon steel) and fastening screws (or bolts). The band is looped around a circular object such as a pipe, hose, etc. that needs to be fastened. The fastening screws are used to adjust the tightness of the band to hold the object in place. Some hose bands also have rubber gaskets, which can increase the friction to prevent the fixed objects from sliding, and can play a role in sealing to improve the tightness of the connection. How Hose Bands Work When the screws on a hose band are tightened, the band gradually tightens, exerting inward pressure on the pipe or hose being tightened. This pressure enables the hose band to be firmly fixed on the surface of the object, preventing the connection between the object from loosening or falling off.
