Chu Dau ceramics, which originated in the 12th century, flourished vigorously during the 15th and 16th centuries. During this peak period, Chu Dau ceramics were used in palaces, royal courts, national temples, and as gifts to neighboring kingdoms. They were exported globally along the Silk Road.
Today, ancient Chu Dau ceramics are preserved in 46 prestigious museums across 32 countries and territories worldwide, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, the UK, and the US… Many of these items, once used in the palaces of various dynasties, are preserved as national treasures and insured for millions of US dollars.
Proud of the nation's heritage and eager to revive the nearly 400-year-lost traditional ceramic craft of their ancestors, Chu Dau Ceramic Joint Stock Company was established with the mission to restore this ancient ceramic line and reintroduce it to the world, showcasing Vietnam’s glory on the international stage.
Chu Dau BRG ceramics today still retain the essence of the traditional ceramics in terms of shape, patterns, hand-drawn techniques, and, notably, the use of traditional natural glaze made from rice husks of the golden glutinous rice variety. The rice husk glaze specific to Chu Dau BRG ceramics has been recognized as a unique art form. The traditional hand-drawn patterns under the glaze are now enhanced with a layer of gold, elevating Chu Dau ceramics to a new artistic level that represents a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.
In recent years, Chu Dau BRG ceramics have consistently been selected as national gifts by the Party leadership, the President, the Prime Minister, and the National Assembly Chairperson for heads of state around the world, especially at major conferences such as the APEC Summit in 2017 and the US-North Korea Summit in Hanoi in 2019. Each gift embodies national pride and the recipient acknowledges the essence of Vietnamese spirit contained within.
In the domestic market, Chu Dau BRG ceramics are currently among the top choices in the high-end decorative and gift segment.
Chu Dau BRG ceramics are honored to be selected as official gifts by provincial and municipal leaders, ministries and departments, and major corporations (such as Seabank, BIDV, Agribank, Vietcombank, and the State Treasury,...).
Production capacity: With a team of over 200 skilled artisans and craftsmen, and a production line system, the company currently has a production capacity of 100,000 household items per month and 7,000 ceramic vases per month.
