Basic Info
The diaphragm is the most important part of the pulse valve. When the pulse valve is energised, the trapped air above pulse valve diaphgram is quickly exhausted causing fast opening of main diaphragm valve. When the pulse valve is de-energised , air escapes through bleed hole of main pulse valve to balance the diaphragm pressure and instantly closes the pulse valve.
The pulse valve diaphragm is typically made of flexible and durable material like rubber or synthetic elastomers. It consists of a diaphragm disc that seals the valve body and a stem or armature attached to it. When the valve is in a resting state, the diaphragm covers the valve orifice, blocking the airflow.
