Hot Pressed Boron Nitride (HPBN) Ceramic has the highest operating temperature in inert gas and vacuum environment. It has excellent electrical insulation (the breakdown strength is 4 times of Alumina Ceramics), high thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient, excellent thermal shock resistance, it is usually used for electrical insulating components for vaccum furnace. It can be used as metal smelting crucibles because it will not react with most molten metals like Cu, stainless steel, Fe, Sn, Zn and Sb. Moreover, Boron Nitride can be quickly machined into high accuracy components by the normal mechanical machining methods.
