Giant ferris wheels have long been popular attractions at fairs, amusement parks and theme parks, and have taken on many different forms. The giant ferris wheel is a large wheeled mechanical building with a passenger cabin (Gondola) hanging on the rim of the wheel. The passenger sits on the ferris wheel slowly up and down, overlooking the surrounding landscape.
