Gro-Med Open Top Grow Bags (OTGB) have become a popular choice for growers since they optimize the utilization of space inside greenhouses as multipurpose growing media for vegetables, fruits & flowers. The coco slab inside each OTGB is made up of a special blend of coco peat and coco husk chips, designed to deliver the ideal air porosity and re-hydration ratio required for hydroponic use.

Our Infrastructure

• Our manufacturing unit is located at Pollachi City, India, which is the hub of coconut farms and the marketplace of coconut based value-added products. Our manufacturing unit has state of the art material handling and compressing machines for 5KG Coco Blocks, Coco Grow Slabs, Coco Discs and dedicated Retail packing lines. We have also incorporated world-class infrastructure to store and process the raw and washed coco peat, a concrete drying yard and employ skilled workmen with well-established quality control process to ensure smooth and maximum value addition.
• Above the output from our own manufacturing unit, we also outsource coco peat from over 100 manufacturing facilities, at strategic locations, who operate under our the direct supervision and strict quality control processes of our own skilled team. Our combined coco peat production capacity is around 300000 CBM (M3) per year.
• Vaighai Worldwide’s product range includes compressed 5 kg coco blocks, coco husk chips, coco bricks, coco bales, buffered coco bales, coco grow bags, coco open top grow bags,, coco discs, coco plugs, coir pots, coir grow poles, coir mulch mats, coir mulch rolls, coir geo textiles and coir logs.
• We offer Gro-Med coco peat in a variety of blends with coco husk chips and coco fibers. These special mixes are available upon customer requests for customized specifications.
• We also customize by pressing coarse or fine coco particle size on special requests for specific applications.

Quality Control

• Raw Coco Peat is washed to reduce its salinity and EC, which is a critical parameter for growing media; also the ageing process of coco peat determines the root growth and stability of the plant.
• At Vaighai, we have implemented a unique quality control process, to monitor all stages of washing, drying, screening and compressing.
• For the first time in the substrate industry, Vaighai Worldwide offers our buyers absolute traceability of every order. Using our ExproTrac mobile app and cloud server data, our customers can access the historical data of the quality, production phase and logistic status of their order, at every step, from when the raw material is sourced from our peat beds, until it is packed into its shipment container.
• With this distinctive feature, we ensure complete control, transparency and consistent quality of our Gro-Med products in every shipment.

Research & Development Team

• Our R&D team continuously studies the requirements of our end users and analyzes avenues to introduce improved products to the potting soil, professional grower, nursery farm, hobby gardener and special application segments. We have a full-fledged laboratory and receive technical assistance from experienced Agronomists to constantly innovate upon quality processes and products in coco substrate industry.
