Product Description
This Flame-Retardant Electrical Insulating Resin is a two-part polyurethane resin designed to replace the cable jacket when splicing or repairing cables. It is the ideal compound to reliably seal penetrators for underwater and retain excellent performance over time. Its formulation makes it particularly suited to withstand the rugged conditions under which mine and portable cables must operate. It is also used as the insulating material for cable splices operating at up to 1000 volts and designed for 194ºF (90ºC) continuous use/266ºF (130ºC) overload, and suitable for subsea underwater.

USAGE & HANDLING:
Product should remain in the sealed and avoid light until ready to use. Product should be in 16°C or warmer environment before mixing. In cold temperature environment, keep in a warm area until ready to use.
TYPICAL DE-MOLD/CURE TIME:
WARNING:
Working around energized electrical systems may cause serious injury or death. Installation should be performed by personnel familiar with good safety practice in handling electrical equipment. De-energize and ground all electrical systems before installing product. Avoid skin contact with this product. In case of contact, wash the exposed area thoroughly with soap and water.
POTTING TUTORIAL:
Cleaning Surfaces of mold or penetrator and cables. Thoroughly clean and wipe the section of cable jacket and mold or penetrator that will be in contact with glue, remember using gloves. The acetone will chemically attack the jacket surface, etching it and increasing surface roughness. This will ensure a good bond.
Insert the cable into the penetrator or mold, stopping short and leaving the cut end of the jacket just above the penetrator head or in the mold. Ensure it is primed with clean and well mixed glue. Dispense and dispose of a small
volume of glue through the mixing tip. Do not use the first part until the mixture is thoroughly stirred.
Seal the end or joint with tape or plasticine to prevent leakage. Fill the penetrator or mold. Oscillate the cable gently to coax out any bubbles, and wipe off any drips or excess compound.
Move the cable from side to side, up and down, and twist within the hole to ensure the epoxy is evenly distributed and fills any gaps. When use penetrator, the epoxy should completely seal the shoulder, and partially run into the throat. Leave it in a safe place let it curing, Observe if there are any bubbles that can be treated in time.
EXAMPLE OF VULCANIZE RESULTS:
ATTENTION:
If the glue is not used up, it needs to be plugged back with a clean plug to prevent mixed pollution, which will affect the next use. Be sure to use with a mixing nozzle and glue gun. Mixing outside will produce a lot of bubbles and the operation time will be short. When using the nozzle, the front part is not evenly mixed. Do not use the first part from glue nozzle. If the ab part in the tube is not parallel, please push it to parallel and then mix. Pay attention to sealing what needs to be filled to prevent glue leakage. Do not shake or move during curing to prevent gap.
When sealing any material, it is necessary to apply adhesive aid on the surface. Avoid high temperatures and sunlight when storing glue. Bubbles on the surface can be blown out with a hot air gun before solidifying and thickening, and the hot air gun should not be heated for more than 5 seconds.
