 Z6 Locking Devices/Locking Assemblies /Exchangeable Shrink Disc (JB/T7934-1999)

Keyless locking devices is a new type of advanced mechanical basic parts ,been widely used in worldwide to realize the transmission of load through friction of tightening 12.9 high-strength screws.

The main function of locking devices is to replace the joint function of the single key and the spline to realize the connection of the mechanical parts (such as gears, flywheels, pulleys, etc.) with the shaft to transmit the load.

Advantages

locking devices have many unique advantages over the general interference joint and keyed joints:
(1) Use of locking devices make the manufacture and installation of the main parts simple. The machining of the shaft and the hole in which locking device is mounted does not require high precision manufacturing tolerances like an interference fit. There is no need to heat, cool or pressurize the locking device, just tighten the bolts to the required torque. The hub can be easily adjusted to the desired position on the shaft. Locking devices can also be used to join parts with poor weldability.
(2) The locking device has a long service life and high strength. It relies on the friction for transmission, and there is no key groove weakening on the joint member, and there is no relative movement, and no wear occurs during the work.
(3) When the locking device is overloaded, it will lose the coupling effect and protect the equipment from damage.
(4) The locking device can bear multiple loads, and its structure can be made into various patterns. Depending on the size of the installed load, it is also possible to use multiple locking devices in series.
(5) The locking device is easy to disassemble and has good interchangeability. Since the locking device can combine the hubs with large matching gaps, the bolts can be loosen during disassembly, so that the joints can be easily disassembled. When the expansion is tight, the contact surface is tightly fitted and is not easy to cause rust, and easy to be coupled and disassembled.

1, installation:

The expansion sleeve is greased at the factory and can be installed directly. When installing, first screw three bolts 4 into the screw holes of the flange of the other part 1 and spread them evenly around the circumference to open the inner sleeve 1 and the outer sleeve 2. Then place the expansion sleeve into the hub hole of the design position and tighten the bolt with the force gauge. The method of tightening is to screw each bolt to 1/4 of the rated torque at a time. The order of tightening is bounded by the slit. The left and right cross symmetry is tightened one after the other to ensure that the rated torque value is reached. 

2. Disassembly:

Loosen all bolts a few turns before disassembly. Then screw in the bolt 4 top loose sleeve in the disassembled screw hole. 

3. Protection:

MoS2 oil is strictly prohibited during installation to prevent contamination of the expansion sleeve. On machines with poor open air or working environment, rust-proof grease should be applied regularly on the exposed end face and bolts of the expansion sleeve. The expansion sleeve type with better rust resistance should be selected.
