Environment-friendly aluminum passivator

 Environment-friendly aluminum passivator------liquid, no Cr⁺⁶

ⅠPerformance and application domain  

IC-2012 is a kind of liquid product for passivation treatment , applied to chemical conversion coating process for aluminum and its alloys, and not containing Cr+6. After mixing with water, in the dipping and spraying application, it can form an amorphous inorganic coating on metal surface. The coating has the functions as follows:

* It has good adhesion to painting coating and good resistance to corrosion.

* Bare coating has very strong corrosion resistance.

* Coating has lower conductive resistance .

IC-2012 can be used in dipping or spraying process.

IC-2012 coating is with color, which depends on alloy composition and operation conditions  

  Ⅱ characteristics

Appearance: dark green transparent liquid

Specific gravity : 20°C  1.015-1.017

Be soluble to water.

Acidity product

Ⅲ Preparation: 1000L, mixing with deionized water.

Concentration : 5-8% (spraying)       10-15%(dipping)                
Temperature:                     30 to 40 °C                  
Treatment time:                2 -4 min (spraying)  5 -10min (dipping)  
Spraying pressure       1-1.5bar

IV Process flow: dipping

1.Pre-degreasing—2. degreasing—3.water rinsing—4. water rinsing—5.delustering —6. Water rinsing —7. Pure water rinsing—8. Passivation— 9. Water rinsing— 10. Deionized water rinsing—11. Drying

V Drying

After the tank solution components completely react with the aluminum surface, rinse excess surface with deionized water till the conductivity of water From workpiece surface should be less than 25us/cm. Finally, , dry the workpiece  (5-20 min , 60 ~ 90 ℃) before the painting. Must wear gloves to remove the traces on the workpiece after painting. The processed workpiece should be painted during the daylight.

 VI Handing safety

IC-2012 is an acidic product containing fluorine. Splash accident or contact with skin or eyes may cause burns.

In case of contacting with skin, immediately wash with water and then massage with 2.5% calcium gluconate gel for a few minutes. In case of splashing into eyes, immediately rinse with clean water, and then use the 2% triethanolamine eye drops and go to the doctor.

Recommend wearing gloves, protective glasses, protective clothing  and safety shoes when operating,

Install shower and eye wash near the workplace .

Do not use glass or silicon containers.

VII Storage

IC-2012 must remain in the original sealed container, and stored in a well-ventilated environment.

This product is sensitive to cold, once frozen,  it still can be use by heating and blending without impact on performance.

Away from the alkaline products.

VIII Effluent disposal

The procedure is as follows:

*Apply lime to neutralize and precipitate fluorine and metal-salt, PH controlled in 6.5 ~ 9

* let sediment at the bottom.
