Functional use: The function of LJ series proximity switch (also known as non-contact travel switch) is to act when it is close to metal. It is widely used for the control of machine tools and other equipment.
 
Working principle:
     The proximity switch consists of three parts: the oscillator, the switch circuit, and the amplified output circuit. The oscillator generates an alternating magnetic field. When the metal target approaches this magnetic field and reaches the induction distance, eddy currents are generated in the metal target, which causes the oscillation to decay and even stop. Changes in the oscillation and stop of the oscillator are processed by the post-amplifier circuit and converted into switching signals to trigger the drive control device, thereby achieving the non-contact detection purpose. The closer the target is to the sensor, the closer the target is to the sensor, the greater the damping in the coil; the greater the damping, the smaller the current of the sensor oscillator. The current loss of the inductive proximity switch decreases with the distance from the metal target While decreasing.
 
Difference between normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC):
First, normally open (NO) means that the signal output line is disconnected in the normal state, and there is no signal output. It is closed when an object is sensed, and the signal is output.
Second, normally closed (NC) is the signal output line in the normal state is closed, continuous signal output, only open when the object is sensed, close the signal.
