Standard Operating Process


Vacuum process cast molding is a new metal molding technology and only adopts dry sand (no water, binder, tagger). It's automatic by an electric control system.

 Heat the EVA film

8 tips you must know about V-process casting


(1) The casting has high dimensional accuracy, clear contour, and smooth surface. 



  • The surface of the mold cavity is covered with plastic film, and the mold surface is smooth and flawless.



  • The internal and external pressure difference of the sand mold makes the hardness of each part of the sand mold uniform and high (above 85)

  • The sandbox is easy to form, and the draft angle is small (0 ~ - 1 °).

  • The cavity is not easy to deform under the thermal action of liquid metal.

  • During pouring, because the sandbox is kept in a vacuum state, it is conducive to filling the cavity with liquid metal.


(2) High metal utilization rate


The V-process casting has a smooth surface, high dimensional accuracy, and small machining allowance. Because the cooling speed of molten metal in the cavity is slow, which is conducive to metal supply, the riser of casting can be reduced, the utilization rate of metal can be increased, the steel casting can be increased by 20%, and the cast iron can be increased by 25%.


 


(3) The equipment is simple and the investment is small.


Except for the need of an additional vacuum pump and special sandbox, other equipment is relatively simple, which can save the sand mixer and some auxiliary equipment. The investment cost is small and the equipment maintenance is convenient.

Because the V-process uses dry sand, it is easy to drop sand, and the recovery rate of sand can reach more than 95%. V method uses less power, only 60% of wet methods, and can reduce the labor force by 35%.


 


(5) The service life of the pattern and sandbox is long.


Because the pattern is protected by plastic film, the draft force is very small, and there is only slight shock and is not affected by high temperature and pressure, so the pattern is not easy to deform and damage.


 


(6) Improve the working environment


The trace gas produced in the process of molding and pouring is mostly pumped by a vacuum pump, so the air pollution is small. After sand falling, there is no large amount of waste sand treatment.

V-process casting has a short production cycle, simple process, easy operation and does not need skilled technical workers.


 


(8) Wide scope of application
