Oxygen existing in molten steel plays a decisive role in molten steel quality, yield and consumption of ferroalloys. With the continuous expansion of production of boiling, semi-killed steel (outer boiling and inner static steel) and aluminum deoxidized continuous casting steel and the wide application of molten steel refining technology, it is urgent to know the oxygen content in molten steel quickly, accurately and directly in order to control steelmaking operation, improve quality and reduce consumption. Solid electrolyte concentration oxygen technology is developed to meet these requirements.
Principle
The oxygen probe uses zirconia solid electrolyte to measure the oxygen content in molten steel. When the probe is inserted into molten steel, the electrode reaction will take place at the electrode interface of the electrolyte, and different equilibrium electrode potentials will be set up. The oxygen probe adopts the oxygen measurement technology of solid dielectric concentration cell, which is composed of half cell and thermocouple. The temperature and oxygen content of molten steel can be measured simultaneously. The main test principle is that an oxygen concentration cell is made up of a reference electrode with known oxygen partial pressure and another molten steel with known oxygen content. By measuring the temperature and oxygen potential of molten steel, the oxygen content in steel water can be calculated.
use method
1.strictly inspect probes, test robbing and instrumentation systems to ensure integrity.
2. Oxygen probe mounted on the test gun, instrument pointer (digital display) back to zero indicating good conduction, direction of measurement.
When C. is measured, the residence time of the probe in molten steel should not exceed 10s, otherwise it will burn the test gun easily.
