                          Gauge Hatch                                                                            

Gauge hatch is a special parts for all the oil tanks,we also called the oil measuring hole, it is used to measure the oil level in the tank and take oil sample. It should be installed on every oil tanks, usually installed near the tank ladder platform.

In order to ensure that the oil is measured at the same position every time and reduce the measurement error, an aluminum or copper guide groove is installed on one side of the inner wall of the oil measuring hole. There should be no weld on the bottom plate of the oil tank directly under the oil measuring hole. If necessary, a measuring reference plate can be welded here to reduce the relative error of each measurement.

Oil tank fire often occurs at the gauge hatch. The main reason is that when the hole cover is opened, the oil and gas in the tank will rush out. In case of electrostatic spark or impact friction spark, the oil and gas will be ignited.

There are several types of the gauge hatch, we have the quick clamp gauge hatch, Lockable gauge hatch, Foot operated gauge hatch, Environmental protection type gauge hatch.
