The principle of operation and technological process of wastewater treatment
The principle of operation of aerated grease traps of all models of OV is developed on the basis of the experience of large sewage treatment plants with constant small-bubble aeration and classic settling tanks of various types. The above-mentioned technologies are combined in the "AERO" series of grease traps.

During the development, the engineers proceeded from the existing experience in the production of water treatment equipment for industrial wastewater characterized by uneven inflow.

The treatment of incoming wastewater can be divided into two stages:

Deceleration of the flow and settling, as a result of which the gravitational separation of suspended particles and emulsified fat products occurs. At this stage, the suspended substances (food waste) coming from the general effluent are deposited and the non-emulsified fat products are separated (surfaced) to the water surface.

Aeration is the process of saturation of wastewater with oxygen, in order to intensify the formation of colonies of aerobic bacteria that actively break down organic pollutants and block all rotting processes (the action of anaerobic bacteria) that cause the appearance of sharp unpleasant odors.

In addition, as a result of fine bubble aeration, the capture of fat products dissolved in water (emulsified) occurs and their intensive removal to the surface, which entails a significant increase in overall efficiency

Installation and installation

Installation and installation of aerated grease traps can be carried out independently, the presence or direct participation of specialists of the manufacturer is not required. Self-installation does not entail the cancellation of the manufacturer's warranty obligations.

The installation must be mounted along the horizontal and vertical axes in any place convenient for further operation. The room temperature should not exceed 50°C.
The drain of the washing bath is connected to the inlet socket of the grease trap, the presence of a siphon is not necessary, it is enough to organize the water lock with a "loop".
The connection of the grease trap to the washing equipment is made in any convenient way - by standard corrugated pipes, or by means of standard PP (PE) pipes of 50 or 110 mm.


The connection to the sewer pipe is also made by means of corrugated pipes, or PP (PE) pipes. When connecting the grease trap to the sewer, it is necessary to exclude the rise of water outside the grease trap above the level of the lower mark of the outlet pipe and make sure that the working capacity (absence of blockages) of the existing pipeline.

Maintenance of the grease trap
During operation, it is NOT ALLOWED to turn off the compressor, in order to avoid failure (contamination) of the aerator. The compressor is designed for continuous operation during the entire service life. Turning off the compressor is allowed only for the time of cleaning the grease trap.

With the right performance, the grease trap is cleaned once every 4-8 months, depending on the degree of contamination of the incoming wastewater.

In addition to removing unprocessed fat, it is recommended to rinse the removable perforated plates with warm water and install them in place.
Accumulated and unprocessed fat products must be disposed of, stabilized bottom sediments are not subject to mandatory disposal, do not pose a danger to the sewer system and can be washed away into the general sewer network.


After cleaning the grease trap, it may be necessary to replace the aerating element (aerator). The determination of the need to replace the aerator is made visually. In the absence of intensive fine-bubble aeration, turn off the compressor, change the aerating element and turn the compressor on again, close the lid.
It is NOT RECOMMENDED to thoroughly wash the removable elements and the body of the grease trap, to accelerate the formation of new bacterial colonies, after cleaning the grease trap.

After the cleaning procedure, the grease trap must be filled with water, supply power to the compressor and make sure that the aerator is working properly, close the lid.


5 aerating elements are supplied with the grease trap. The average service life of one element is 6-12 months, depending on the degree of contamination of the wastewater received for treatment.

Power supply requirements
The power consumption of the compressors is 1.5-3.5 W, depending on the model (performance) of the grease trap. The power is supplied from the public network with a frequency of 50 Hz.
