The polished rod clamp is of butterfly structure, it is fixed on the polished rod as retaining device for the rope hanger. It makes the pumping unit horsehead connected with polished rod through rod eye lifting device, and then the polished rod append and support the load of sucker rod string. The polished rod clamp is an important part connecting oil pump and sucker rod, it is required not only reliable, have a certain capacity, but also can not cause damage for sucker rod.

 

1. Chemical Composition

 

To meet the requirements of this specification, polished rod manufactured from any AISI or equivalent specification recommended cast iron or carbon steel as follows.
a) ASTM A536 ductile iron 65-45-12, or equivalent international series number.
b) Carbon Steel; aisi1015 to 1045 or AISI 1515 to 1545, or equivalent international series number.
