VINACCERO
ALEATICO I.G.P. PUGLIA
To be invited to the table when we want to indulge in a soft, enveloping, and greatly harmonic wine. It owes its name to the “Vinacciere” ships that took off from the Apulian ports, loaded with wine used to strengthen that of others, produced in less sunny areas.

Production area: contrada Marchione, on the Turi-Castellana Grotte street, Puglia.
Soil type: stony, karst calcareous Training system: espalier
Yield per plant: approximately from 1 to 4 kg
Planting year: 1990’s
Harvest: around the second half of September, only after a delicate
drying process on the plant

Aging: in steel tanks for 18 months and two years in the bottle, to round it off and to further enrich its bouquet and taste
Annual production: about 15,000 bottles
Serving temperature: 18 - 20 ° C

COPPI WINERY: SINCE 1882
VINEYARDS AND WINES
The location is ideal, as we are situated at the crossroads of the most precious “Murgia dei Trulli” (“Apulian Stone Dwellings’ Murge plateau”) in Puglia, Italy: vineyards of wine grapes, olive groves, almond plantations and pastures of high-quality dairy cows. Land, or rather terroir, understood as an intimate relationship with a millenary tradition, which the Coppi family has preserved and passed on in Turi. The founder, oenologist Senator Coppi, ensures the high and constant quality of the wines. But, above all, good wine is produced in the vineyards. Coppi owns 100 hectares of fine properties, which include Primitivo, Negroamaro, Aleatico, Malvasia, and Falanghina, as well as another 100 that are carefully managed.

HISTORY
It all began in 1882, with the construction of the old winery, which nowadays was brought back to its splendor and includes our shop, modern tasting rooms with an adjoining kitchen, and a fascinating underground cellar. The turning point began in 1966, when the young winemaker Antonio Coppi started working in this Cellar. He finally bought it in 1979, transforming it into his life's mission. His passion is soon transmitted to his sons, Lisia, Miriam, and Doni. Today, Coppi wines are known all over the world.

AWARDS
- Vanitoso Riserva 1999 was

- Other awards: Grand Gold Medal at Vinitaly 2006, "3 glasses" Gambero Rosso, Best Primitivo at "5 stars Vinitaly 2017", many over-90 points on the Wine Guide by Luca Maroni, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Anuga Wine Special, Decanter, Double Gold Medal at CWSA, James Suckling, etc.
