PIWI... What?
„PIWI“ is a German abbreviation and stands for fungus resistant grape varieties. These were created by crossing European grape varieties and

We selected three of them one from Friulano Family "Soreli" and two from Sauvignon Family "Kretos" and "Rytos"

Company Profile

Enzo Lorenzon, along with his sons Davide and Nicola, runs and manages about 90 hectares of vineyards with tenacity and passion, starting from that land that his father Severino bought in the ’50s.

The Winery is located in San Canzian d'Isonzo, in the Friuli Isonzo DOC, which is positioned at the same  latitude of southern Bourgogne, of the Cognac or of Oregon: the perfect position for prestigious wines, further advantaged by the Mediterranean microclimate.

The Friuli Isonzo DOC area is a plateau slightly sloping from the Collio and Carso hills towards the Adriatic Sea. "I Feudi di Romans" is the top label of the Lorenzon Winery, born in the early ‘90s from the desire to conquer the lovers of the Friuli wines’ tradition. The first wine of "I Feudi di Romans", which is currently distributed in over 25 countries in the world, was bottled in 1996.

In the last 40 years, the careful selection of the most precious grapes and clones best suited for our territory allows us to offer today to our clients a large quality selection:

- autochthonous grapes: Friulano, Ribolla gialla, Malvasia, Verduzzo, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso;

- white wines: Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and  Traminer Aromatico;

- red wines: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Nero.

The care we take, from the country to the cellar, has been awarded with many accolades.

Sustainability

Rational use of natural resources
Subsurface drip irrigation system;
Sun panels;
Renewable energy;
"Well tought" winegrowing (Viticoltura ragionata)
We apply a "well tought" winegrowing with the aim of producing wines in balance with their ecosystem.
We operate inside it by having
always the ultimate goal the preservetion of its characteristics with minimal, punctual and specific actions.
Responsible towards the environment
We carry out several precautions: with a more "reasoned" use of fertilizers, respect for the environment, control of health risks.
We no longer use weeding with the aim of avoiding soil depletion, as well as the sun panels which make us almost indipendent in
the necessary energy needs.
